One Sky Homes achieves a 100 Green Point Rating on new San Jose home

One Sky Homes demonstrated its committment to high-performance, sustainable building with a significant triple-digit Green Point Rating on a new home in San Jose. Green Point Rated is a program developed and administered by Build It Green, a non-profit Bay Area organization founded eight years ago to help promote the adoption of Green Building practices in California, and which has rapidly become a standard for high-performance residential building supported by many Bay Area cities. OSH is an active member of Build It Green.
The Green Point Rated program consists of an independent third party verifying high-performance (green) features included in a home through documentation audits and site visits. A rating certificate is then issued by Build It Green and the eventual homeowner then knows exactly what they are getting when they purchase the home. Ratings are completed for five major building performance categories: Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Indoor Air Quality/Health, Use of Sustainably harvested Materials, and Community.
