One Sky Homes offers a full array of design, project consulting and construction services focused on high-performance residential buildings. Because of our focus and passion for high-performance building we are advocates of the integrated design/build approach to managing building projects. This approach is essential to achieving successful outcomes in advanced projects such as Zero Energy, Passive House or LEED/GPR homes.

Design/Build

One Sky Homes can perform the anchor project management role or a supporting role depending on project circumstances. The key for the project owner/sponsor is that there is a fully-integrated design process from project initiation which includes all interdependent design and construction disciplines into a coherent design development process from the conceptual through to the detailed construction documents and construction phases.

Ideally a project owner will come to One Sky Homes at the early conceptual stages of the project and OSH can oversee a coherent project development and execution process which proceeds seamlessly from conceptual design all the way through building construction and commissioning.

Depending on the design requirements of the project OSH can supply comprehensive in-house design services or if appropriate bring in more specialized design partners. OSH limits its in-house architectural design activities to more traditional custom home or home renovation designs where we can provide the best value for the client. With more complex architectural requirements where the project owner is seeking to make a more dramatic aesthetic statement, such as an ultra-modern motif, OSH can refer qualified architects or work with an architect pre-selected by the client.
